Gordon Brown must not fake it about Gwyneth Dunwoody at all.
Did he speak out in defence of her when Blair repeatedly tried to oust her?
Brown is reported as saying about Gwyneth's daughter:
"She is an independent woman with a sense of purpose," Mr Brown said, speaking from No 10.
"She wants to represent the people of Crewe and Nantwich in the kind of way her mother did, as an independent and strong fighting presence in the House of Commons. I am looking forward-to working with her."
But what did Brown do when Gwyneth fought Blair off?
What lessons are there on transport that should be learnt from the stand that Gwyneth Dunwoody took about standing up to Big Business influence on Govt transport policy?

Boris Johnson today called on the Government to pass new legislation preventing the Mayor of London from serving more than two terms.
In a swipe at his predecessor Ken Livingstone, the Mayor said any more time spent in power could lead to cronyism.
He wrote to Local Government Secretary Hazel Blears to demand there be "refreshed leadership" after eight years.
Currently there is no limit set on the number of terms. Mr Johnson said: "Londoners rightly expect that their Mayor is accountable. That's why I pledged to only stand for two terms.
"Without any limits on the number of times an individual can serve as Mayor, there is a real danger of cronyism, misconduct and corruption at City Hall. Londoners deserve better than that. The job of leading London is a huge privilege not a right. It's time the law supported that principle."
The move follows a row over former mayor Ken Livingstone's promise to step down this year, having said power can lead to corruption.
However, he decided to stand in the recent election and said he might continue into a fourth term. He has not yet ruled out fighting in the 2012 contest.
In a speech last week Ms Blears said: "The idea of term limits does not seem very democratic. Surely it should be up to local people how long they want local councillors or mayors to serve?"
Mr Johnson has also vowed to save £80,000 by not having stands advertising City Hall at the three party conferences this year. And he wants to cut the number of staff being sent to the Beijing Olympics to only those whose presence is "absolutely crucial" for the investment of London or the study of how the Games are operated.

From the start that was a lie....
By ‘benefits’ Livingstone and his corrupt and corrupting entourage meant that it, CRASSrail, would DEGENERATE the community even further than had been the case in the previous 40 years or so. But they did not let on that fact.
They twisted its presentation and dressed it as a positive value that the poverty-attacked in the East End of London would really need and welcome....!!!!
In the previous 40 years, which, significantly, parallels the length of Livingstone's career at the expense of the people in and of London, has also been the ‘era’ in context which has witnessed the appearance and the perpetration and perpetuation of what so called ‘regeneration’.
It has meant DEGENERATION.
As one of the latest perpetrators of that degeneration, Christine Gilbert [appointed and kept as ‘Chief executive in post on Tower Hamlets Crossrail hole plot-inviting Council until 2006] has admitted in another layer of her dishonesty, as she poses as the ‘latest reforming’ inspector of schools at OFSTED [where Blair had her installed as a reward for her degenerating the East End of London]....

Gordon Brown is blaming the ‘world’, the ‘global’, situation for the tightening of UK finance!!! Did the 'world' just come into existence last week? Did the ‘global’ phenomenon just emerge, somewhere far way from ‘Britain’? As if Britain and the ‘British vahloos’ Gordon Brown so ridiculously, immaturely, ignorantly espouses and even more ridiculously pompously utters, was in ‘another world’!
You have got to tell the truth Gordon. And to be able to tell the truth, you have got to know the truth. be able to distinguish between lying and telling the truth. Truth and lies are not, ever, the same things, Gordon.
Make your mind up. Either you are going to tell the truth or you are going to lie. And lie even more than Blair did. For that is what it will take before you can even complete a full term. When Gordon Brown travelled to canary Wharf, to lend, literally lend Ken Livingstone a hand so that the latter could hoist it up in the contaminated air inside that building and pose for the invited, permitted image-capturers and traders, and declare that Ken Livingstone had created so many goodies in Canary Wharf, did it occur to Gordon Brown that he was not just lying but that he was doing so in the most idiotic of ways?

And for 40 years, the process of recognising the poverty of the Blaring movement - what now is that movement- has been suppressed, covered up.
Thus creating, sowing the seeds of the rising poverty that is stalking the political landscape this Tuesday morning... across Britain. The only values that matter are those that are found and are sought in the distinction, the universal, the objective, the timeless distinction between liars and truth tellers.... Boris Johnson faces a funding crisis which threatens to paralyse London's public transport system and overshadow his term as the capital's mayor, according to sources close to the financial negotiations.
Senior transport figures say the £16bn Crossrail project, an underground rail link from Heathrow in the west to Canary Wharf in the east, will stifle investment in the ageing tube network, meaning a number of station revamps and line upgrades could be postponed or cancelled.
According to City Hall insiders, Johnson, who was criticised for his lack of experience managing large-scale projects during the mayoral campaign, has yet to get to grips with funding problems. Speculation within transport industry circles is putting the potential funding hole at up to £5bn.
Tony Travers, director of the Greater London group at the London School of Economics, said the consequences of such a big shortfall could be disastrous. "It could create serious problems for the new mayor and for efforts to modernise London's antique transport system," he said. "Worse, it is increasingly unclear who is responsible for any shortcomings, Gordon Brown, Ken Livingstone [Johnson's predecessor] or Boris Johnson."
Johnson faces going cap in hand to the Treasury or pushing through a rise in bus and tube fares if the shortfall proves insurmountable.
The alleged funding gap covers improvements to London's tube network up to 2017. Transport for London is currently budgeting the works programme for the period and senior figures believe it could be up to £5bn short. One source said Livingstone had underestimated the financial support needed for the Underground network when he negotiated the Crossrail deal last year.
"In order to get government funding for Crossrail, the mayor agreed a funding package that took the risk of cost overruns onto TfL's budget. It also implied a settlement for London Underground which did not recognise fully the likely cost of the tube over the next 10 years," he said.
A TfL spokesman said the organisation was confident it had the funding for the next phase of the upgrade: "We simply do not recognise these numbers," he said. "TfL has a fully funded business plan to 2010 and a financial settlement from government out to 2017 that represents the largest investment in London's transport system since the [second world] war."
But last week the head of TfL, Peter Hendy, said the organisation did not know whether the present settlement would cover the next phase of the tube upgrade. TfL expects to complete a financial assessment of tube plans by the autumn.
The funding problems are a legacy of the failed tube contractor Metronet, which collapsed last year after a £2bn overspend. With Metronet's contracts due to be transferred to TfL, Johnson is responsible for delivering the work on budget.

Gordon Brown has lost the much-vaunted image as the ‘m,an who brought prudence’ into the management of the UK economy. This loss is largely of his own making. Had he been genuinely prudent, he would not have made that folly. It will take the best part of the rest of his ‘tenure’ at the official address of the UK Prime Minster, to restore that position.
And unless Brown is very careful, he will lose the other, substantially floated claim as well. The claim that he is, at the end of the day and all the rest of it, and as being peddled in his defence by some at least of the mainstream media pluggers, a ‘decent man’.
It cannot be decent to embark on a programme of twisting the very foundation and the core of human kind. And of animal kind.
And Brown is just about able to pull back from the new folly that he is boastfully heading for.
He must not go ahead with the assault on nature. Not on human beings. Not on animal beings.
There is clear evidence that tampering with nature is not good. If there are resources to engage in research, in learning, in study then those should be devoted to the pursuit of learning. Leaving nature alone. When Gordon Brown has been appearing on far too many 'sermon'-like platforms and appearing to make claims to be motivated by ethics and morality it then cannot be right for the same person to collude with the opposite programme.
The man who could, 'just like that', pull off a trick of finding nearly £3 Billion to ensure that his [so far] short regime did not become historically short-lived and get submerged, derailed at the critical Crew junction of his contradictions under the weight of evidence of his paraded incompetence and imprudence, cannot be allowed, ethically, morally, economically and financially, to claim that there is not enough financial capacity 'in Government ' [the boastful way he says 'in Government' is plainly worrying...] to organise genuine and long term research into ways of finding any solutions without committing this grotesque outrage against the autonomy maintained by nature.
The only clue to Brown’s appearance of ‘being knowledgeable’ in favour of the violations he plots against the natural autonomies should be sought in the business agenda of the globalising Big Business Neo Con Corporations...

Beyond Bad Science and Big Business

Abstract
The mechanistic mindset of western science is all of a piece with the neo-liberal economic theory promoting globalisation - the removal of all international barriers to trade, investment and finance - that has enabled corporations to ruthlessly exploit human beings and destroy our planet in their quest for maximum profit. This paradigm has failed us in life as it has within science, but is still perpetrated by the academia and the political mainstream, if only because it serves so well to promote gene biotechnology and to make even unethical uses seem compelling.
GM crops destroy livelihood and self-sufficiency, and are strenuously opposed by family farmers everywhere. There is compelling evidence that genetic modification is inherently unsafe, as are many of the GM products. While the benefits of GM crops remain illusory, the success and benefits of ecological, natural farming systems are well documented. It is time to turn the tide on bad science and big business, to reclaim the good life in every sense for everyone.
Britain might be mistaken for a Third World country, says a newspaper headline: chaos on the rail network and protests over fuel price increase in the midst of the worst storms and floods in decades, and a CJD epidemic that may claim up to tens of thousands of lives.
The public enquiry report, published at the end of October, blames persistent government denials over the link between CJD and BSE beef based on the ‘best scientific advice’ given by the Southwood Committee in 1989, which concluded "it was most unlikely that BSE will have any implications for human health". The ‘best scientific advice’ is saying the same about genetic engineering. The scientific establishment has failed, again and again, to acknowledge that science is by its nature incomplete and uncertain and to insist on the precautionary approach. The precautionary approach might also have averted global warming, had it been adopted ten, twenty years earlier. It is high time that the precautionary approach is applied now in gene biotechnology.
If climate change and the CJD fiasco can teach us anything, it is that science is too important to be left to the politicians or to a scientific establishment increasingly in bed with big business. Our academic institutions have given up all pretence of being citadels of higher learning and disinterested enquiry into the nature of things; least of all, of being guardians of the public good. The corporatization of science is the greatest threat to our survival, and it works in subtler ways than generally recognized.
Western science dominates the world through its technologies, many of which become instruments of destruction and oppression in the hands of corporate business. More significant, however, is the mechanistic mindset of the science, through which the world is perceived and shaped. It presents nature as isolated atoms at every level, jostling and competing against one another in the Darwinian struggle for survival of the fittest. Organisms are mistaken for machines, and there is no limit to how they can be manipulated for profit, especially by changing their genes. Genes and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) have become the latest, hottest commodities.

And it will go on, until peoples’ aspiration for a safe, just, equitable, sustainable and compassionate world is heeded.
The mechanistic paradigm has failed us in life. It has also failed within science. Contemporary western science, across the disciplines, has been rediscovering how nature is organic, dynamic and interconnected. There are no linear causal chains linking genes to the characteristics of organisms, let alone the human condition. Genes function in complex entangled networks, constantly responding to feedback from the internal and external environment. Genetic engineering grew out of laboratory techniques for modifying the genetic material of organisms discovered some 25 years ago. These same techniques enabled geneticists to study the genetic material in ways that were not possible before. The findings have turned genetics upside down.
By the 1980s, geneticists have coined the phrase, "the fluid genome" to describe the dynamic state of the genetic material in all organisms, which is subject to both small and large changes in the course of development and in response to feedback from the environment. The new genetics is radically holistic and ecological, as is life itself. But the discredited paradigm is still perpetrated by our academia and the political mainstream, if only because it serves so well to promote gene biotechnology, and to make even unethical uses seem compelling.
The human genome project to map the genetic material of our species has been hyped a great deal, but the only concrete offers thus far are patented gene tests, some 740 already in the market. Consequently, there will be a genetic underclass - children of the poor - that will eventually become a separate, inferior species. Social inequity is thereby translated into genetic inequity and vice versa.
Human embryos are cultured in the laboratory to provide cells and tissues for transplants. International trafficking of human organs is already rife, and eggs and embryos will be added to the list. In the Indian Seed Tribunal in September, three farmers in the same family in told the Tribunal how each had to sell a kidney when their crops failed from the bad seeds they were sold. In Thailand, rice is life, and the Karen hill tribes are so intimately connected to rice that the ‘rice spirit’ is brought back to the people and the land in a rice ceremony every year. Tens of thousands of rice varieties still exist in Thailand, which have been collected, created and propagated by farmers in the course of thousands, if not tens of thousands of years. That, despite the fact that a US scientist, Dr. Love, absconded with 120 000 varieties collected for the Thai gene bank in the 1950s.
Thai rice varieties come in endless shades of gold, red and black, each with a distinctive fragrance, serving different purposes and occasions, to enhance life as much as to provide nutrition. Each variety is valued and loved for its own sake, more than a connoisseur might appreciate varieties of tea, coffee or wine. I was given a bag of red rice to take home to London, and have savoured every mouthful since. Seeds are freely given and exchanged as gifts among farmers in Thailand, as they are all over Asia, Latin America and Africa.
To people whose lives are so inextricably interwoven with their indigenous plant varieties, what else can GM crops be but an abomination? And why should the rest of us not recover to some extent this aesthetic and spiritual connection to our food?

The UK Government tried to place Aventis’ Chardon LL GM corn on the National List, but overwhelming objection from the public forced a public hearing which is still going on. Aventis is also behind the recent massive recall of taco shells and other maize products contaminated with the ‘Starlink’ GM variety that has not been approved for human consumption because it showed all the signs of being allergenic. As for Chardon LL, Aventis’ unpublished report submitted to the hearing showed that there were twice as many deaths in chickens fed the GM corn compared to those fed non GM corn. And on the basis of that, our Government had approved it for use as animal feed.
There is less than a handful of published papers on GM food safety from industry, and these are no better. The two papers from Monsanto on Roundup Ready GM soya showed that it increased milk fat in cows and decreased weight gains in male rats, and has an unexpected 26.7% increase in a-antitrypsin, a major allergen and growth inhibitor. Monsanto failed to make available even more damning data indicating that the GM soya had 100% increase in soya lectin, another allergen, which was also unexpected.
The evidence of hazards, much of it in the scientific literature, is stronger than ever before. That is why some 370 scientists from more than 40 countries are calling for a moratorium, as well as a ban on patents of organisms and living processes and support for sustainable, organic agriculture (see www.i-sis.org.uk).
The hazards are inherent to the uncontrollable, unpredictable nature of the genetic modification process (see Boxes 1 and 2).

GM involves making artificial genes and combinations of genes that are transferred into cells and embryos to create GMOs, none of which may ever have existed in billions of years of evolution.
GM genetic material are typically from dangerous bacteria, viruses and other genetic parasites that cause diseases and include antibiotic resistance genes that make infectious diseases untreatable. The gene products encoded by the genes may be harmful, as they have never been part of our food chain, and are also new to the ecosystem.
GM constructs are designed to cross species barriers and to invade genomes. But the genetic engineer cannot control where and in what form the GM constructs end up in the genome. Unexpected toxins and allergens may result.
GM constructs are unstable, as are GM lines. GM constructs are often scrambled when inserted in the genome. In later generations of the GMO created, the GM constructs may get scrambled further, become inactive or lost altogether. This seriously compromises agronomic performance as well as safety, because the GM line will change further in unexpected ways, and the lost genes may jump into unrelated species.
Dangerous GM genes and constructs can spread, not just by cross pollination to related species, but by horizontal transfer to unrelated species, spreading antibiotic resistance genes, creating new viruses and bacterial pathogens, and triggering cancer in animals.
The biotech industry and their supporters claim we need GM crops to feed a growing world population. But UN studies show that world population growth has been slowing down since the 1960s. The prediction in 1998 was that total world population will peak at 7.7 billion in 2040, then go into long term decline to 3.6 billion by 2150, less than two-third of today’s number. The FAO report on Agriculture released earlier this year, similarly concludes that existing technologies, not counting GM, will produce enough and more than enough food to meet population growth for the foreseeable future. The real problem is distribution, as generally acknowledged. People are starving in the midst of plenty.
Finally, there is plenty of evidence that low input, ecological farming methods using crops and knowledge adapted to local conditions have been increasing yields two, three-fold or more in Latin America, Africa and Asia since the 1980s, providing social, environmental and health benefits besides. There are compelling reasons for farmers to grow and sell locally crops adapted to local conditions, rather than national or international varieties for export. Export industrial agriculture is responsible for a great proportion of the fossil fuel consumption that contributes to climate change. There is also incalculable health bonus to be gained by all in phasing out agro-chemicals already linked to cancers and many other illnesses.
In short, now is the time for all of us to join forces to turn the tide on bad science and big business, to reclaim the good life in every sense for everyone.

Evidence that GM and GMOs are unsafe
Bt-toxins, isolated from a soil bacterium, Bacillus thuringiensis, and incorporated into a wide range of GM crops, are harmful to beneficial and endangered species, such as lacewings and the monarch butterfly.
Several Bt toxins are allergens or suspected allergens, including the Cry9C in Aventis’ Starlink GM corn, which is responsible for the recent massive recall of contaminated taco shells and other corn products in the United States and elsewhere.
Random insertion of GM constructs result in monstrous abnormalities in animals such as pigs and fish. No one has checked for toxins and allergens.

Herbicide tolerant GM crops created weeds and superweeds. A canola resistant to three different herbicides made by different companies, was found in Alberta, Canada.
GM genes in GM pollen have transferred to bacteria and yeasts in the gut of baby bees.
UK government scientists provided indirect evidence that antibiotic resistance genes from GM pollen and dust can transfer to bacteria inhabiting the human mouth and respiratory tract.
GM genes from GM plants have been found to transfer to soil bacteria in laboratory experiments and in field monitoring.
GM corn DNA has been found transferred to chicken.
‘Gene therapy’ experiments show that animal cells, including human cells, can readily take up GM constructs, and incorporate them into the genome. These GM constructs are similar to those used to make GM plants and animals and pose the same risks.
New viruses have arisen in GM plants engineered with viral genes.
GM constructs may recombine with, and wake up dormant viruses that have now been found in all genomes. Reactivation of dormant viruses by GM constructs in cultured cells is a major problem in packaging gene therapy vectors.
Random insertion of GM constructs into animal genomes may lead to cancer. This also occurs when GM constructs are put into cultured cells.

Gordon Brown has lost the much-vaunted image as the ‘m,an who brought prudence’ into the management of the UK economy. This loss is largely of his own making. Had he been genuinely prudent, he would not have made that folly. It will take the best part of the rest of his ‘tenure’ at the official address of the UK Prime Minster, to restore that position.
And unless Brown is very careful, he will lose the other, substantially floated claim as well. The claim that he is, at the end of the day and all the rest of it, and as being peddled in his defence by some at least of the mainstream media pluggers, a ‘decent man’.
It cannot be decent to embark on a programme of twisting the very foundation and the core of human kind. And of animal kind.
And Brown is just about able to pull back from the new folly that he is boastfully heading for.
He must not go ahead with the assault on nature. Not on human beings. Not on animal beings.
There is clear evidence that tampering with nature is not good. If there are resources to engage in research, in learning, in study then those should be devoted to the pursuit of learning. Leaving nature alone. When Gordon Brown has been appearing on far too many 'sermon'-like platforms and appearing to make claims to be motivated by ethics and morality it then cannot be right for the same person to collude with the opposite programme.
The man who could, 'just like that', pull off a trick of finding nearly £3 Billion to ensure that his [so far] short regime did not become historically short-lived and get submerged, derailed at the critical Crew junction of his contradictions under the weight of evidence of his paraded incompetence and imprudence, cannot be allowed, ethically, morally, economically and financially, to claim that there is not enough financial capacity 'in Government ' [the boastful way he says 'in Government' is plainly worrying...] to organise genuine and long term research into ways of finding any solutions without committing this grotesque outrage against the autonomy maintained by nature.
The only clue to Brown’s appearance of ‘being knowledgeable’ in favour of the violations he plots against the natural autonomies should be sought in the business agenda of the globalising Big Business Neo Con Corporations...

Beyond Bad Science and Big Business

The mechanistic mindset of western science is all of a piece with the neo-liberal economic theory promoting globalisation - the removal of all international barriers to trade, investment and finance - that has enabled corporations to ruthlessly exploit human beings and destroy our planet in their quest for maximum profit. This paradigm has failed us in life as it has within science, but is still perpetrated by the academia and the political mainstream, if only because it serves so well to promote gene biotechnology and to make even unethical uses seem compelling.
GM crops destroy livelihood and self-sufficiency, and are strenuously opposed by family farmers everywhere. There is compelling evidence that genetic modification is inherently unsafe, as are many of the GM products. While the benefits of GM crops remain illusory, the success and benefits of ecological, natural farming systems are well documented. It is time to turn the tide on bad science and big business, to reclaim the good life in every sense for everyone.
Britain might be mistaken for a Third World country, says a newspaper headline: chaos on the rail network and protests over fuel price increase in the midst of the worst storms and floods in decades, and a CJD epidemic that may claim up to tens of thousands of lives.
The public enquiry report, published at the end of October, blames persistent government denials over the link between CJD and BSE beef based on the ‘best scientific advice’ given by the Southwood Committee in 1989, which concluded "it was most unlikely that BSE will have any implications for human health". Our academic institutions have given up all pretence of being citadels of higher learning and disinterested enquiry into the nature of things; least of all, of being guardians of the public good. The corporatization of science is the greatest threat to our survival, and it works in subtler ways than generally recognized.

GM genetic material are typically from dangerous bacteria, viruses and other genetic parasites that cause diseases and include antibiotic resistance genes that make infectious diseases untreatable. The gene products encoded by the genes may be harmful, as they have never been part of our food chain, and are also new to the ecosystem.
GM constructs are designed to cross species barriers and to invade genomes. But the genetic engineer cannot control where and in what form the GM constructs end up in the genome. Unexpected toxins and allergens may result.
GM constructs are unstable, as are GM lines. GM constructs are often scrambled when inserted in the genome. In later generations of the GMO created, the GM constructs may get scrambled further, become inactive or lost altogether. This seriously compromises agronomic performance as well as safety, because the GM line will change further in unexpected ways, and the lost genes may jump into unrelated species.
Dangerous GM genes and constructs can spread, not just by cross pollination to related species, but by horizontal transfer to unrelated species, spreading antibiotic resistance genes, creating new viruses and bacterial pathogens, and triggering cancer in animals.
The biotech industry and their supporters claim we need GM crops to feed a growing world population. But UN studies show that world population growth has been slowing down since the 1960s. The prediction in 1998 was that total world population will peak at 7.7 billion in 2040, then go into long term decline to 3.6 billion by 2150, less than two-third of today’s number. The FAO report on Agriculture released earlier this year, similarly concludes that existing technologies, not counting GM, will produce enough and more than enough food to meet population growth for the foreseeable future. The real problem is distribution, as generally acknowledged. People are starving in the midst of plenty.
Finally, there is plenty of evidence that low input, ecological farming methods using crops and knowledge adapted to local conditions have been increasing yields two, three-fold or more in Latin America, Africa and Asia since the 1980s, providing social, environmental and health benefits besides. There are compelling reasons for farmers to grow and sell locally crops adapted to local conditions, rather than national or international varieties for export. Export industrial agriculture is responsible for a great proportion of the fossil fuel consumption that contributes to climate change. There is also incalculable health bonus to be gained by all in phasing out agro-chemicals already linked to cancers and many other illnesses.
In short, now is the time for all of us to join forces to turn the tide on bad science and big business, to reclaim the good life in every sense for everyone.

Evidence that GM and GMOs are unsafe
Bt-toxins, isolated from a soil bacterium, Bacillus thuringiensis, and incorporated into a wide range of GM crops, are harmful to beneficial and endangered species, such as lacewings and the monarch butterfly.
Several Bt toxins are allergens or suspected allergens, including the Cry9C in Aventis’ Starlink GM corn, which is responsible for the recent massive recall of contaminated taco shells and other corn products in the United States and elsewhere.
Random insertion of GM constructs result in monstrous abnormalities in animals such as pigs and fish. No one has checked for toxins and allergens.
In plants, unexpected toxins and allergens have arisen, as in Monsanto’s GM soya: 26.7% increase in allergen and growth inhibitor, a-antitrypsin, and 100% increase in soya lectin, another allergen.
In 1989, a genetically modified batch of tryptophan killed 37 and made 1500 seriously ill, many to this day.
The instability of GM constructs lead to inconsistent performance in the field, yield drag, and other failures which have frequently turned up in GM crops.
Herbicide tolerant GM crops created weeds and superweeds. A canola resistant to three different herbicides made by different companies, was found in Alberta, Canada.
GM genes in GM pollen have transferred to bacteria and yeasts in the gut of baby bees.
UK government scientists provided indirect evidence that antibiotic resistance genes from GM pollen and dust can transfer to bacteria inhabiting the human mouth and respiratory tract.
GM genes from GM plants have been found to transfer to soil bacteria in laboratory experiments and in field monitoring.
GM corn DNA has been found transferred to chicken.
‘Gene therapy’ experiments show that animal cells, including human cells, can readily take up GM constructs, and incorporate them into the genome. These GM constructs are similar to those used to make GM plants and animals and pose the same risks.
New viruses have arisen in GM plants engineered with viral genes.
GM constructs may recombine with, and wake up dormant viruses that have now been found in all genomes. Reactivation of dormant viruses by GM constructs in cultured cells is a major problem in packaging gene therapy vectors.
Random insertion of GM constructs into animal genomes may lead to cancer. This also occurs when GM constructs are put into cultured cells.

No to “Crossrail hole plot ...” CAMPAIGN has taken the lead in auditing and in publishing the findings of the audit of all the public and the publicly paid for agencies, bodies and outfits that are operated or funded or kept in place IN THE NAME of the people of the ordinary East End of London....
As an integral part of this acton programme, Khoodeelaar! has adopted the analysis of the longer standing movement in defence of human rights in context in the East End of London that movement on evidence found that the sole ‘local’ commrcially run ‘newspaper’ in the name of the East End of London, has indeed been the East London Apartheider. The East London Idiotiser.
The East London A********r is not a responsible newspaper if the criteria of responsibility is in any way linked with the attention given to the behaviour of the bodies, groups, personnel that are publicly paid for in order to provide service to the people of the East End of London.
As we have pointed out in the past four years in the context of the Khoodeelaar! campaign against ‘the Big Business Crossrail hole plot against the East End’, the East London Apartheider has lied persistently in favour of the lying and the Crossrail hole plot-inviting clique on Tower Hamlets Council.
It lied in March 2006 and untruthfully, prejudicially, outrageously offensively carried a lying piece giving credit to the then typifier of the Council for the then just announced retreat by the then Crossrail hole plot Minister [‘Secretary of State for Transport’] Alistair Darling on the planned Crossrail dirt hole in the Hanbury Street [off Brick Lane], London E1.
Later in the year, the East London Idiotiser carried another series of plugs praising Christine Gilbert and Michael Keith. There was no ground, no basis, no fact for their doing so. Not on the conduct of either GILBERT or Keith in terms of what their parts had been in the polices that so aggravated against the overall interests and the specific interests,m needs and rights of the people of and in the ordinary East and of London.
Why did the East London Idiotiser do that?
Did it do it out of ignorance?
Did it do it because it did;t know better?
No. The Khoodeelaar! campaign had made available EXCLUSIVELY researched , original evidence ti the ‘editorial staff’ of the 'East London Idiotiser' over the previous YEARS showing the breath, the extents of the part played by both Christine Gi,bert and Michael Keith in INVITING the Crossrail hole plot upon and against the East End of London.
The evidence, the analysis, the finding that Khoodeelaar! provided cannot be denied or evidentially challenged,. This is so because all our findings and our conclusions have been adequately and transparently and comprehensively sourced. And those sources are themselves parts of the UK Government operation. Including of the other Big Business affiliates and colluder institutions, agencies, outfits, outlets such as and including the entirety of the UK Big Business mainstream media. As typified by the Financial Times and the BBC. Besides those, the others are equally of such undeniably pro-Big Business, CRASSrail hole plot-peddling affiliation that no-one, least of all Michael Keith or Christine Gilbert [both of whom have been extensively associated with the Big Business propaganda operation misconducted via the ‘Tower Hamlets Council’] would credibly make even a suggestion that those sources were open to question.
For if they did, they themselves [Gilbert and Keith] would be condemning themselves by such evidentially untenable audacity.
So the ‘East London Idiotiser’ failed on purpose. It failed to tell the truth out of prejudice and out of deeply corrupted mentality on the parts of its key decision-making ‘personnel’.
But they made the decision, on each and every occasion that they devoted promotional space and words to the Crossrail hole plot-inviting clique on Tower Hamlets ‘local’ Council, knowing that they [The Idiotiser] were adding to the lies and that they were doing so despite also claiming that their commercial title - [the Idiotiser] was in business allegedly to serve the community in the East End of London.
A more brazen contradiction would be hard to come across in context.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
On the facts of the persistent misconduct, misreporting, mispromotion of the corrupt Council clique by the Arch-lying ‘East London Idiotiser’, going all out to pocket as much of the Council’s ‘advertising’ revenue as they could contrive to justify they ‘deserved’..... ......

If the contents and the thrust of the really timeserving, careerist and media-peddling Raymond Shoddy, currently fronting the BBC's self-justificatory and immoral 'newswatch' slot, are any guide, then the BBC is INDEED as shoddy as Raymond and should be scrapped...
This is another call for a thorough review of publicly paid for broadcasting outfit that serves in all intents and purposes as the state controlled broadcasting and media = meaning PROPAGANDA for the state and the status quo equivalent that would be found in what even the BBC immorally derides a totalitarian state.
For the second time in three days, the BBC mounted ‘Lauren Booth’ ‘as linked to Tony Blair’ as a ‘worthy’ commentator on the affairs of state! On Thursday, they had her do a morally ambivalent promotion job for the side business that Cherie ‘Booth’ ‘Blair’ had embarked on via Rupert Murdoch’s SUN and the Times.
It seems that the BBC is getting shoddier by ‘the event’.
The ‘event’ here is intended to imply and convey what Harold Macmillan meant by ‘events’ when he had reportedly said, ‘Events, dear boy, events’ [that made the difference....].
Whenever an ‘event’ is in the news of the day or of the week, the BBC agenda setters hastily add another example of their breach of the universal code of evidence and factual accuracy.
They rush in with a token that links - so they assume - the BBC to the ‘hear of’ the particular events!
So we suffered the spectacle of a barely articulate and barely significant ‘panellist’ Rachel Johnson, ‘sister’ of Boris Johnson, being flaunted on the David Dimbleby fronted Question Time on Thursday following the announcement of the result of the London elections for a ‘mayor in the name of the people of London’ and this last Thursday, self-respecting ‘viewers’ of the BBC TV slot had to pout up with the latest display of Lauren Booth, inappropriately described as ‘Writer and Broadcaster’, giving her own commercial in support of Cherie Booth ‘Blair’ as the ‘author’ and as the Liverpool working class girl who made it [to No 10 Downing Street] !
Lauren Booth should have been described as the ‘half-sister’ to Cherie Booth WHO HAD launched herself almost within days of the May 1997 UK generally election when Cherie Blair was able to arrive at No 10 Downing Street.
Lauren Booth might have existed as a ‘writer’ or as a ‘broadcaster’ Moore 2 May 1997 but she had not been noticed until the BBC and other broadcast and 'mainstream' media', later including [and in particular] the Mail on sunday decided to go into a subcontract with her ina miniature joint venture....
They were capitalising on the very tenuous and threadbare [in the context of society, politics, democracy and accountability] links that Lauren had with the Tony Blair regime just installed.
For ALL the past 11 years since Lauren Booth was mounted on the mainstream media abased on the alleged ‘half’ sibling relations with Cherie Blair,. lauren Booth had not made any contribution that objective commentators or observers of the ‘pair in power’ had not made.
In fact Lauren’s surfacing on the media has been measurable by the height or the level of media presence that has been attached to Cherie Booth ‘Blair’ over the years....
All the while, Lauren Booth has been allowed the media spots - and the not insignificant cash that has been placed into her direction including in the direction of her ‘place’ in ‘France’ on the most tenuous of evidential grounds.
This latest appearance today [Saturday 17 May 2008] when she talked to the BBC News Breakfast programme, was the most embarrassing. And inappropriate. She is evidently of the wrong view that Cherie Blair is ‘working class’, that she had not had much material possessions as a could etc....
And so she feels that on 17 May 2008, almost a year after Cherie had left the ‘official address’ of ‘Britain’s Prime Minister’ and two days after she was told [by another, sitting, ‘judge’] to resign as a ‘judge’ because she was bringing the ‘legal profession’ into disrepute by her ‘vulgar, obscene indulgences’ in publishing the most private of details about herself [so disgusting the spread of the public that even someone so lowly-esteemed in public as Graham Norton, was able to claim a ‘higher’ ground [in ‘taste’ if not in morality necessarily] as compared to Cherie Blair, as Norton showed on BBC TV on Friday night 16 May 2008].

And so she feels that on 17 May 2008, almost a year after Cherie had left the ‘official address’ of ‘Britain’s Prime Minister’ and two days after she was told [by another, sitting, ‘judge’] to resign as a ‘judge’ because she was bringing the ‘legal profession’ into disrepute by her ‘vulgar, obscene indulgences’ in publishing the most private of details about herself [so disgusting the spread of the public that even someone so lowly-esteemed in public as Graham Norton, was able to claim a ‘higher’ ground [in ‘taste’ if not in morality necessarily] as compared to Cherie Blair, as Norton showed on BBC TV on Friday night 16 May 2008].

If the confronts and the thrust of the really timeserving Raymond Shoddy fronting the BBC's self-justificatory and immoral 'newswatch' slot is any guide, the BBC is as shoddy as Raymond and should be scrapped...
This is another call for a thorough review of publicly paid for broadcasting outfit that serves in all intents and purposes as the state controlled broadcasting and media = meaning PROPAGANDA for the state and the status quo equivalent that would be found in what even the BBC immorally derides a totalitarian state.
For the second time in three days, the BBC mounted ‘Lauren Booth’ ‘as linked to Tony Blair’ as a ‘worthy’ commentator on the affairs of state! On Thursday, they had her do a morally ambivalent promotion job for the side business that Cherie ‘Booth’ ‘Blair’ had embarked on via Rupert Murdoch’s SUN and the Times.
It seems that the BBC is getting shoddier by ‘the event’.
The ‘event’ here is intended to imply and convey what Harold Macmillan meant by ‘events’ when he had reportedly said, ‘Events, dear boy, events’ [that made the difference....].
Whenever an ‘event’ is in the news of the day or of the week, the BBC agenda setters hastily add another example of their breach of the universal code of evidence and factual accuracy.
They rush in with a token that links - so they assume - the BBC to the ‘hear of’ the particular events!
So we suffered the spectacle of a barely articulate and barely significant ‘panellist’ Rachel Johnson, ‘sister’ of Boris Johnson, being flaunted on the David Dimbleby fronted Question Time on Thursday following the announcement of the result of the London elections for a ‘mayor in the name of the people of London’ and this last Thursday, self-respecting ‘viewers’ of the BBC TV slot had to pout up with the latest display of Lauren Booth, inappropriately described as ‘Writer and Broadcaster’, giving her own commercial in support of Cherie Booth ‘Blair’ as the ‘author’ and as the Liverpool working class girl who made it [to No 10 Downing Street] !
Lauren Booth should have been described as the ‘half-sister’ to Cherie Booth WHO HAD launched herself almost within days of the May 1997 UK generally election when Cherie Blair was able to arrive at No 10 Downing Street.
Lauren Booth might have existed as a ‘writer’ or as a ‘broadcaster’ Moore 2 May 1997 but she had not been noticed until the BBC and other broadcast and 'mainstream' media', later including [and in particular] the Mail on sunday decided to go into a subcontract with her ina miniature joint venture....
They were capitalising on the very tenuous and threadbare [in the context of society, politics, democracy and accountability] links that Lauren had with the Tony Blair regime just installed.
For ALL the past 11 years since Lauren Booth was mounted on the mainstream media abased on the alleged ‘half’ sibling relations with Cherie Blair,. lauren Booth had not made any contribution that objective commentators or observers of the ‘pair in power’ had not made.
In fact Lauren’s surfacing on the media has been measurable by the height or the level of media presence that has been attached to Cherie Booth ‘Blair’ over the years....

Gordon Brown owes a hasty apology- for backing the sinking Crossrail scam
Why must Gordon Brown apologise?
For making up scenarios that are founded on weak ground.
His staged list of draft legislation is bound to be exposed sooner than he thinks.
And he must not imitate that Muslim emperor, either!
Not until the Muslim emperor's work has been truthfully assessed!
Grandstanding on 'major projects' 'infrastructure' etc. is almost akin to what a really cynical Tony Blair would approve of.
That sort of behaviour takes the rigour away and makes the 'emperor' [pretend or real] to look for substantial than the substance of his work.
Gordon Brown was wring to tag along with the sinking careerist Ken Livingstone and appear on a stage in canary Wharf with him, singing the praise of the sinking project CRASSrail.
Sinking because CRASSrail will sink more than a few £Billion of ordinary peoples' precious cash....
