This picture was taken at a moment when the Khoodeelaar! No to Crossrail hole Bill campaign meeting erupted in applause at one of the many jokes told at the expense of the ‘controlling clique’ on the Crossrail hole-inviting Tower Hamlets ‘local’ Council. That moment was on Sunday 22 January 2006 and it was in the Hanbury Street, off Brick Lane.
