Crossrail is going to be Gordon Brown's undoing.. ... it will cost him even more than his 10p imprudence has already cost him...

Gordon Brown's tottering hold on the reins of his own [!!!] Blaired party is bound to get worse.....if Brown continues to show contempt towards constitutionality...

The ‘bastards’ [as in the dire state of John Major who had notoriously revealed his insecurities to ITN’s Michael Brunson] are not likely to be so small in number that he could manage to control them even for a fraction of the time that Major had been able to control his ‘own breed of bastards’.

Brown’s ‘bastards’ seem to have mushroomed. And are quite blasé about their ‘easy adoption’ by the media.

And not just in the form of ‘memoirs’ and tales but in the fact that when pressed to show their loyalty to Brown, several of the 'contenders' [touted by the likes of Murdoch’s Fraser Nelson and otherwise] have remarkably failed to do so whilst
stiffly stating words of ‘loyalty’ and ‘praise’ to Brown.

This shows that there is no genuine loyalty to Brown.


Only opportunism.

This raises the question: how much money has Gordon Brown to use to bribe the ‘rebels’?
Quite apart from the alleged use this week of Jacquie Smith to ‘woo’ [as the Times has used the word] the ‘rebels’ over the 42 day detention , Gordon Brown has a longer list of cash-related disasters than he has the cash to tame with.....

And this takes us straight to Brown’s unconstitutionality...

For 10 years Brown managed to stay silent on the real issue of constitutionality, the issue of the role of parliament to hold the executive to account.

This is the real reason why there is mess at the UK level of Govt...

No holding of the executive to accountability by parliament....

This is on display in the way Big Business agenda has been active in Parliament.... Nowhere so than in the promotion of the ‘Crossrail Bill’..

KHOODEELAAR! No to 'Crossrail hole plot'; No to “Big Business agenda for creating new poverty in inner city East London”.. The .Khoodeelaar! campaign has been arguing for 55 months now, against the poverty creation programme being implemented via the corruptly controlled local Tower Hamlets Borough Council. Why? Because the East end is already poor... and the poverty is measured in the poverty of entitlements on the part of the people in the community across the ordinary East End...

The campaign in defence of the East End is also noticing the appearance of elements that are being located in the community with the aim that these elements will undermine the community's defence .

The elements are then also placed on the local Council where they LOOK as if they represent the ‘mixed’ population of the Borough


That is all that they do. They LOOK the part. They do not deliver the democracy.
Hence the Khoodeelaar! campaign for a democratic, accountable local council....

This is the contextual update of the KHOODEELAAR! Manifesto that I had written in December 2005 and published in the last week of December 2005 and the first fortnight of january 2006.

This update will be published over a few days.

The KHOODEELAAR! manifesto as published in December 2005/January 2006 was part of the movement for actual accountability by the ‘local’ ‘elected’ ‘council’ and other ‘locally elected’ holders of positions in the name of the people in the East End of London.

In terms of the contents and the purpose and the implications, the KHOODEELAAR! Manifesto was unique. And has remained unique. No ‘party’ ‘group’ or ‘grouping’ has published a manifesto.

They may have claimed to have done so.


By the ‘party’, ‘group’ and ‘grouping’ here, I mean of the ones that have got ‘councillors’ on the Tower Hamlets Council in the names of the ‘parties’ and or ‘groups’ or ‘groupings’.

None of those has published any manifesto.

And the fact that they have not done so has also gone unremarked on, uncommented on. Except by Khoodeleaar!

PART C of the KHOODEELAAR MANIFESTO 2006

1. The Brick Lane, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green ‘south’ and Stepney London E1 Area campaign against the Crossrail hole Bill will use the existing laws to establish the facts of the local Tower Hamlets council’s use of the legal powers to make grants and other funds available to ‘voluntary’ organisations in the community.
2. The Brick Lane, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green ‘south’ and Stepney London E1 Area Brick Lane, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green ‘south’ and Stepney London E1 Area campaign against the Crossrail hole Bill will make sure that the holders of senior positions in the employment of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Council (LBTH ). The LBTH Council do not follow the political orders or personal preferences of individual councillors or of controlling groups of councillors if those orders or preferences are at variance with the interest of the local community and if those orders and preferences are also in conflict with the social, cultural educational, economic and environmental interest of the local community

3. The Brick Lane, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green ‘south’ and Stepney London E1 Area Brick Lane, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green ‘south’ and Stepney London E1 Area campaign against the Crossrail hole Bill will publish the fullest legally available information on which groups in the local community in a given financial year was given what sum of money by the LBTH Council to achieve what objective and under what democratic and transparent criteria

4. The Brick Lane, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green ‘south’ and Stepney London E1 Area Brick Lane, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green ‘south’ and Stepney London E1 Area campaign against the Crossrail hole Bill will publish the active links of all holders of elected positions in the Council with all known groups and groupings in the Borough so that the behaviour of the councillors can be democratically monitored by the community.

5. The Brick Lane, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green ‘south’ and Stepney London E1 Area Brick Lane, Whitechapel, Bethnal Green ‘south’ and Stepney London E1 Area campaign against the Crossrail hole Bill will also publish the information on the councillors’ links with any senior employee of the council and with any other councillor so that the behaviour of the councillors can be democratically monitored by the community

The ‘East End of London’ targeted by the ‘Crossrail hole’ agenda, is already impoverished. Undeniably so. In human terms. In social terms. In terms of the extent and the standard [what standard!!!!?????] of service delivered by or via the local Tower Hamlets Council...

There is very seriously low level of ‘formal educational achievement’ offered by the local schools to the local youngsters. the other ‘institutions’ of ‘education’ situated in Tower Hamlets too are delivering very low levels of service.

As are the state sector health institutions and agencies as typified by the behaviour of the NHS agencies situated in the Borough of Tower Hamlets.

There is thus a raging reality of poverty and impoverishment in Tower Hamlets.

Douglas Alexander, the Crossrail hole plot-peddler who has been linked with the Bechtel lobby via one of Alexander’s alleged former aides, has been waffling about impoverishment in Africa

We shall examine Douglas Alexander’s role in the peddling of the CRASSrail hole plot and look at the role he played in particular in Gordon Brown’s coming out with that utterance of commitment of £Billions of UK public cash to CRASSrail....

CROSSRAIL threatens stress for even well-off backers

THE CONTROVERSIAL Crossrail project could spell seven years of stress for water-bound Wharfers, according to a report published this month.

If, as expected, royal assent for the Crossrail Act is granted in 2007, construction will start in 2008.

West India Quay is an area likely to be particularly affected, with several long-term moored boats already marked for removal. The route would run underneath the quay itself and a station is planned in the middle.

Ian Rathbone, Crossrail media manager, said: "I can confirm that we are proposing the removal of St Peter's Barge. The Crossrail project is definitely going ahead and Crossrail is scheduled to open in 2015."

Although St Peter's Barge - a floating church - has been focused on as a potential casualty, other organisations in the area have been quick to voice their concerns.

David Spence, director of Museum in Docklands, said: "We have two tugs in front of the museum at the moment and we are aware that if Crossrail does go ahead they would have to be removed while the dock is drained.


"It's going to be very disruptive for our visitors in the meantime while the construction is taking place."


However, Mr Spence acknowledges that in the longer term Crossrail could actually benefit the museum.


"We believe the improved infrastructure will allow more visitors from outside Canary Wharf to come and visit," he said.


"It's an inconvenience, but in the long term one that's worth paying."


David Kampfner, project director of the SS Robin Trust, which is also based in West India Quay with a gallery on board a boat, said: "Crossrail could be a truly great project, but in the meantime there may be a lot of pain in terms of getting there.


"You have to be prepared to live with construction in Canary Wharf. We want to minimise disruption, but of course we are realistic."


However, on the possibility of relocation, Mr Kampfner is remaining optimistic. "All the indications at this stage are that the best plan for everybody involved would be for us to stay put," he said. "It's really very early days at the moment - it's too early to make a call on it."


On plans affecting West India Dock, Mr Rathbone added: "If people want to object at this stage then they should contact the local MP, Jim Fitzpatrick.


"There is a system of compensation for when organisations are affected by the project, and the exact compensation in individual cases will be thrashed out by the select committee."

What will save Gordon Brown is not aping, imitating Blair. No matter what Cashpoint Michael Levy says..It was the likes fo cash point Levy that brought public offices in Blair's time to such low levels... Brown has a task to stop that rot. And he cannot afford to commit any more monumental blunders... He has got to start by scrapping all Blair's scams... Scams that Blair got together, in whatever form,. at the behest of the corrupting Big Business...Events have shown, as they will continue to show, that Big Business is bad for society It always has been. So the answer to the woes that society is in is to be found by dismantling the Big Business structures.....

In the case of the Crossrail hole plot in the context of Brown's lack of financial room to manoeuvre, it is obvious that Big Business is the cause of the problem All the Big sums of public money that Brown has been spending are being spent in cushioning the grubby minority that have set traps in the economy so that institutional problems continue to fester...

By robbing the majority generally, the minority makes the 'gain' for the very small number who manage to control the outfits.,. Brown should know that...

Crossrail has been contrived by Big Business not even as a long term answer to the real transport problems, transport needs in London... Crossrail has been promoted and is beng promoted as all manner of things....


OTHER THAN transport.... BUT transport... Brown has to look at what the Crossrail prom peddlers, promoter have been saying about it.... And as for the ‘outer London’ ‘Crossrail links’ , those only reinforce the point - that Crossrail is NOT in the main about meeting London’s transport needs.. It is being used by the likes of Theresa May to peddle their own local electoral cravings.... There is nothing fundamentally sound about the Crassrail scam.. The exact point that the objectors have made in the comments that parliament has blocked from being out on the records.... Brown has got to stop this crass Crossrail Bill and spare himself another pack of reminder that he is not a prudent leader of the UK.....[To be continued]
