Can the UK House of Commons Treasury Select Committee Chair fit to halt Brown's wasteful London Crossrail funding?

Can the UK House of Commons Treasury Select Committee Chair fit to halt Brown's wasteful London Crossrail funding?

If John McFall has been performing with the same failing focus he showed today, then no wonder he has not been very good at 'auditing' the economic performance of the Government.....!

UK House of Commons ‘Treasury Select committee’ ‘Chair’ John McFall, ‘MP’, was the subject of one of my comments a few days ago...

I had based that one on evidence of his performance elsewhere.

Today, I observed McFall’s memory and focus fail him totally.

More than once.

In the same session and within a matter of minutes, he misaddressed the ‘Prime Minister’ as the ‘Chancellor’.

And Gordon Brown responded quite graciously in the circumstances.

But what kind of attention deficit have we got to put up with from these over-hyped chairs of ‘select Committees’!

First we find that one, Keith Vaz, had been involved in exchanges of words that suggest that he might be in line for a ‘rewarding’ token of state-conferred dishoinour for betraying the cause of constitutionality, civil liberties and probity in Parliament...

And then we find the Chair of the Treasury Select Committee who cannot distinguish the ‘Prime Minister' from the ‘Finance Minister...’....

What evidence is tehre then that John McFall can disnsgstisng between Big Busioess, Big powre blocks and ordianry people? Big hypes and reality on the ground...

What, if any, can McFall be expecetd to do to prevent Gordoin Brown's admisnoatoin making the folly of easting £Billions in following Biog Busiess agneda Crossrail hype?
